After a long wait, the District of Columbia will soon be implementing Initiative 59, the medical marijuana initiative that voters approved by 69% in 1998. Soon, residents of the Nation's Capital will be able to legally use marijuana in consultation with their doctor.

The D.C. Patient Advocacy Coalition was formed by a group of patients and concerned citizens to advocate for policies that ensure safe and reliable access for patients using medical marijuana. Membership in DCPAC is open to anyone who supports sensible and compassionate medical marijuana policies in the District of Columbia.

On January 19th, 2010, the DC City Council introduced amendments to Initiative 59 and scheduled a Council Hearing on Tuesday, February 23rd.

We hope you can attend!
